All Are Welcome
All are welcome here, of any faith or none, and of every gender identity and orientation.
For many people, faith is part of how they get through hard seasons. For others, it is not, or it is complicated, or it is a source of hurt. All of that is welcome here. You do not need to share any belief to receive full, respectful care at Aura Integra.
The Meaning Behind Our Logo

Our logo is small, but it holds what matters most to us.
The hands represent care, and the commitment to walk alongside each person through whatever season they are in.
The cross reflects the faith that inspires Augustine to serve. For him, it is a daily reminder of hope, compassion, and healing.
The ring represents wholeness: mind, body, and spirit held together. That is the heart of the name Aura Integra.
"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."
Psalm 147:3 (NIV)
The logo is a statement of why Augustine serves, not a requirement for anyone he serves. All are welcome here.
Your Choice, Always
Faith-integrated care is something you choose, not something we assume. If you would like your faith included in your care, whether you are Christian or come from another tradition, just ask. If you would rather keep it out, say so once and it will not come up again.
- Your care never depends on what you believe, or whether you believe.
- No one is judged here, and no one is preached to.
- Your identity, your relationships, and your story are respected as they are.
- You can change your mind at any time, in either direction.
What It Can Look Like
When you ask for it, spirituality can sit alongside the rest of your plan. That might mean talking about where you find meaning and hope, how your faith community can be a source of support, how prayer, worship, or quiet reflection fit into your routine, or how to approach a treatment decision in a way that honors your values. It can also mean making room for doubt, grief, or a painful history with religion.
Research suggests that, for people who value it, spiritual and religious support can help with coping, meaning, and connection during recovery. It works alongside treatment. It is never a substitute for it.
The Foundation Stays Medical
Evidence-based psychiatric care is the foundation of every plan here. That includes careful evaluation, medication management when it helps, and referral to therapy and other supports. Faith does not replace medication or therapy, and no one will ever suggest that a mental health condition reflects weak faith or a lack of prayer. Spirituality, when you want it, supports healing alongside medication and therapy.
Care is provided by Augustine Mensah, MSN, BSPH, APRN, PMHNP-BC, a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. Psychiatric care is offered for teens and adults ages 13 and older, and substance use treatment is for adults 18 and older.
Words of Hope
For patients who find comfort in scripture, these are two passages many people return to in difficult times. They are offered as encouragement, not instruction.
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."
Matthew 11:28 (NIV)
"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."
Psalm 34:18 (NIV)
If another tradition, text, or practice speaks to you, you are welcome to bring that instead.
