What this practice is

Aura Integra Behavioral Health, PLLC provides psychiatric and addiction care to people located in Massachusetts. Visits happen by video, from wherever you feel safest. Care is led by Augustine Mensah, MSN, BSPH, APRN, PMHNP-BC, a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.

Care starts with your story rather than a checklist. Medication can be part of the plan. When it is, it is explained clearly, adjusted carefully, and never handed to you as the whole answer.

What we help with

Depression and low mood
Mood that has stopped lifting, sleep that will not hold, a flatness where interest used to be.
Anxiety
Worry that runs in the background all day, a chest that will not unclench, dread that arrives before the week does.
Alcohol use
Alcohol care without shame. Medication options are explained honestly, including what the evidence supports. Cutting back is a legitimate goal to start with.
Opioid use and withdrawal
Medication for opioid use disorder explained in plain language: how starting works, what the first days ask of you, and how we stay reachable while your body settles.
Attention difficulties
Evaluation and treatment for attention problems in adults and in young people. The evaluation is careful and unhurried.
Co-occurring conditions
When a mental health condition and substance use are tangled together, both are addressed in the same plan, by the same person.
Women's mental health
The weeks after birth, the cycle that reliably takes a week of your month, and the years when hormones and mood stop cooperating.

There are four ways to get in touch. Any of them is a fine place to start, and you are welcome to use more than one. Choosing one does not close any of the others.

4. Patient portal

You can create your own account and get a head start on the paperwork. Signing up asks for your first name, your last name, an email address, and a password you choose. Inside there is a short pre screen and a demographics page, and your date of birth is asked there. Creating an account is not an appointment, and it is not a commitment to be seen here.

This website does not collect health information. There is no intake form, file upload, or clinical message box anywhere on it. The patient portal and Spruce are separate secure systems, and the link above simply takes you to the portal; nothing you type on this website is passed along to it.

Hours of operation

These are office hours, not crisis coverage. This is not a 24 hour service and there is no one here overnight. If you are in crisis at any hour, call or text 988 or go to your nearest emergency department. Both are open all night, every night. See crisis resources for more ways to get help now.

Care is delivered by video to people who are physically located in Massachusetts at the time of their visit.

If this is an emergency

Aura Integra is an outpatient practice, not an emergency service. It does not provide 24-hour coverage, and this page is not monitored. Nothing you do here reaches us.

Language access

Interpretation is arranged at no cost to you, including for Spanish, Portuguese, and Haitian Creole. Tell us what language you prefer and we arrange it. See the nondiscrimination and language access notice.

Paying for care

There are three ways people pay for care here. A short phone call tells you which one applies to you, and checking costs nothing.

  1. An accepted commercial plan. Some commercial plans are accepted for general psychiatric care and ADHD care. You pay only what your plan requires. Participation varies by plan and product, so we confirm it with you before your first visit rather than posting a list.
  2. Out of network benefits. If your plan is not one we accept, you pay the published fee at your visit and receive an itemized superbill at no charge. You submit that superbill to your plan yourself and any reimbursement goes to you. Aura Integra Behavioral Health, PLLC does not submit out of network claims on your behalf, and reimbursement is never guaranteed.
  3. Paying directly. Published fees, payment due on the date of service, and no diagnosis reported to an insurance company. An initial psychiatric evaluation is $300, a standard medication management follow up is $150, an extended follow up is $250, and a two part ADHD diagnostic evaluation is $350 in total. Income based sliding scale. A limited number of sliding scale spots are available on application for self pay patients whose household income makes the published fee out of reach. Approved patients pay 50 percent of the published fee at or below 200 percent of the federal poverty level, or 75 percent of the published fee from 201 to 400 percent of the federal poverty level. Documentation of household size and income is required, eligibility is reviewed once a year, and the sliding scale does not apply to medication for opioid use disorder. Ask before you book.

Superbill. If you pay directly and want to try for out of network reimbursement, you receive an itemized superbill at no charge that you submit to your plan yourself. Any reimbursement goes from your plan to you.

If you are uninsured or not using insurance, you have the right to a written Good Faith Estimate of what your care will cost before you receive it.

Medicare and MassHealth are not accepted at this time. If you have either one, please call or text 508-978-6455 before booking so we can talk through your options and point you toward care that will be covered.

Medication treatment for opioid use disorder is self pay at this time. Substance use records carry extra federal privacy protections, so the cost and the privacy questions are worth a conversation before you decide anything.
